Art is a language. Ideas, emotions, revelations, and worlds are shared through the expressions of Art. The title of this exhibition comes from Shakespeare's King Lear, when Cordelia refuses empty flattery to her father in exchange for a third of the kingdom, but at the same time she wants to express her love and devotion to him.  Words fail her, and ultimately lead to her tragic demise. The works of art and writing in this exhibition investigate potent ideas, from racism to domesticity to immigration to relationships and life.

The artists in this show are accomplished faculty and teachers from  CU Denver’s College of Arts & Media. Utilizing sculpture, photography, sound, writing, painting, film, and design, they explore the social and physical world around us, attempting to engage in a dialogue with us through the power of Art.
